Thinking about phone or video counselling?
A few factors to consider:
Are you able to verbally express your thoughts and feelings?
Are you able to access a private, comfortable space where you will not be disturbed for the duration of your session time?
Do you feel comfortable talking on the phone or using a device/computer to meet via video?
Do you have access to, and know how to use, reliable technology (i.e., landline telephone, hand-held device, computer) and infrastructure (i.e., landline, cellphone reception, internet connection, Wi-Fi) that will enable you to participate in a psychological session?
Are you 18-years-old or older?
Are you able to read, understand, and write in English?
While the landline telephone may seem like outdated technology, it can provide a secure and reliable connection for our sessions.
Not a problem, with Katherine you can determine what combination of technology and infrastructure will provide your best therapeutic experience.
